This week on the Raw Islam Podcast with Imam Azhar– a 2017 Podcast Award nominated podcast, our question of the week is who is your daddy?
B.C. Dodge starts this podcast off talking about – God knows what! He seems to take off on some sort of ramble… honestly, we are kind of worried about him at this point.
Luckly, Imam Azhar get the show back on track quickly reminding the listeners, and watchers, that this show is here to break down the news with some Islamic spirituality sprinkled on top. Thank God there is one professional on this podcast!
The show continues as Imam Azhar recaps the March for Our Lives that took place in Washington, D.C., well as all over the nation. While Imam Azhar wanted to attened, he had a previous commitment to his students to teach his class “How to be a living Quran in the 21st Century.” But why did he opt to teach this class rather than attend the march?
Because there seems to be a march or protest every other week for something else, and the truth of the matter is that the problem starts higher…and maybe far more simply. Maybe if we start by addressing the loss of our communities, we might be able to grow more. Honestly, when was the last time you talked to your neighbors?
Lastly, where did the title of this episode come from? You must listen to find out!
